REVIEWS GALORE!!

Sana Make Essence Concealer (Wrinkles):
I bought this @ Don Quijote thinking that it would be the cure-all for my fine lines problem since Origins Eye Doctor wasn't pulling through for me. It eliminates the super teeny tiny lines and the formula is so thin that it doesn't really conceal anything except that. Not to mention it takes awhile to dry and it becomes splotchy whether you use a brush or finger to apply. I tried to use it with the powder that came with the Bobby Brown Creamy Concealer Kit and then the actual concealer & powder, but it didn't make a difference. Well, if anything, the combination of the 2 concealers and powder made the area look like I had used white ash instead. BUT if you're looking for a lip concealer, then this works perfectly! @__@ I wouldn't dare lick my lips though since it already smells kind of funny.

Post from 04/04/2011 spree here!

  • EVE Half Moon Clip-In Hair Extension in 4 (blackish brown): Even though the hair is synthetic (not too sure if it's all synthetic or a human hair mix?), it blends really well with my natural hair and doesn't feel heavy at all! I thought that the wavy curls would fall once I washed it, but they maintain really well. I'm thinking about straightening them so I can practice fish-tail braiding though. There's a label that says curling is ok as long as the heat isn't more than 370 something degrees, but I'm guessing that only applies to curling irons or heated curlers since the hair wouldn't run through the straightening iron technique like my natural hair would.
  • Ardell Fashion Lashes 108 Black: Big disappointment. >__< They were more natural than I wanted them to be and I could hardly tell that they were lengthening.
  • Bio-Oil: ..Still awaiting significant results, but at this rate, I'm thinking about buying Rodial Tummy Tuck.
  • Revlon Extra Life No Chip Top Coat 950/Rimmel French Manicure PRO French Lingerie 130: I used about 3-4 coats of Rimmel and 1 coat of Revlon and it lasted for 7 days without chipping at the tips. Maybe next time I'll try to concentrate on sealing the tips?
  • Origins Eye Doctor: As much as I wanted this to work, it hasn't helped one bit. No reduction in fine lines which is what I really needed ;__; Totally not worth the 30 something dollars, although I did need some kind of moisturizer for my eyes. If anything, I might just buy another tube of MAC Fast Response Eye Cream since that seemed to solve my problem for the past 2 years (I stopped using it because it didn't reduce puffiness around my eyes)!

 Pending review:

Make Up For Ever HD High Definition Foundation:
I thought that light coverage would be best in any and every situation until I went to Ginza and saw a boatload of pretty girls with flawless skin. I mean, obviously they were wearing a full face of makeup, but I felt like mines (Lancome Teint Miracle Bisque 4) was too sheer especially for special occasions. I still have yet to use it, but I'm quite excited since it's received a lot of good reviews ^__^

      Can't stop, won't stop

For the past month or so, I've been having cravings as if I was prego and eating as if I hadn't eaten for days. I tried to eat more fruits and vegetables, but they don't fill me up like junk food. Last night was no exception @__@

Stopped by @ Jack in a Box for some Bacon Cheddar Potato Wedges and an Oreo Shake after inhaling my dinner. I actually wanted to shove my face in a chocolate cake, but there was no parking @ Zippy's. Buu~ Time to haul some serious ass at the gym tomorrow -__-

Edit: Dr. BFF Jill figured my insatiable hunger stems from being able to eat whatever I want (as opposed to being on a strict prego diet)..mixed with post-Lent sugar rush, Skype, & Epic Meal Time.

      Much needed break

Not to say that I deserve the rest, but after experiencing my worst semester to date, this break is definitely appreciated. No school and only two days of work this week so I've been spending more time with the bambino and being productively unproductive (meaning that I've been spending my free time reading reviews, watching tutorials, and making a game plan for frivolous purchases).

Hopefully I'll get the lazy bug out of my system by the end of this week so that I'll be on fire especially since Project GCW (gym, class, work) will commence on Monday. Yeah buddy.

      Addict

I thought I would be able to live with just one pair of circle lens, but I ended up buying two more yesterday >__< I finally got used to wearing them by the third try and for vanity's sake, I like how my eyes aren't as squinty when I smile. I was kind of disappointed once I realized how dark the Max Gold Black were in comparison to my natural eye color, so I ended up buying Max Pure Brown & Grey.

I figured I might as well switch it up too since I have 4 more pairs of Diamond Lash ; A ; ..not that I don't like them though! It's just that they're very, VERY durable, so going through a whole pack might take me quite a long time @__@

      Helloooooo, summer!

Forgot about my impending grades that are going to wreak havoc upon my social life by going out with my besties & work friends last night ^_____^ Nothing like a good time with good people to cushion the bottom-whooping that I'll probably receive in a few days.

Then again, shopping can always compensate for that too, nee?

As for the rest of my summer plans, there's work, school, and *starry eyed gasp* maybe even summer love??

      40 hours and counting

My way of celebrating the end of the semester/start of summer -- retreating to my bed. Nai nai <3

"Good morning starshine, the Earth says, 'Herro!'"

In an attempt to study for my final and finish my presentation & paper, I pulled an all-nighter for the first time since probably project grad. I feel like I deserve an A for putting this much effort into everything, but I know that's only because I'm trying my best and doing all that I can within the last possible second. Procrastination at it's finest by none other than yours truly.

That's okay though..at this point I'm willing to do whatever I can to finish, so I can reap the reward of resting my tired little head on my ronery bed. And maybe if I'm up to it, buy myself some congratulatory end of the semester presents. YAY ME!

      Things that make me sad:

The fact that I don't give a flying eff about school anymore despite the fact that I have a major paper and presentation due by Friday. I'm not even gonna lie..I'm still just as clueless as I was on the first day of class even though I attended and did the homework. At this point, I don't even know why I even contemplate doing anything since I've pretty much procrastinated past the point of no return. Like no joke. It's like I'm having a fat moment -- I hate feeling fat and I know I should do something about it, but hot damn, I do love to stuff my face.

On the brighter side, it's all downhill after 4:15 PM on Friday. Then I'll just have to worry about finding a new outfit for Saturday. *Sigh* Oh how difficult life can be.

      Over it

This is how I felt after taking my first midterm for this semester. And it's gotten worse since then.

It would've been so much easier if I had taken classes that required a final exam rather than projects or papers so I could just get it over with in one swift motion. There's always summer session and next semester anyways, right?

      Chili & taquito omelet

This is what happens when I yield to all of my cravings and watch too many episodes of Epic Meal Time.

      I can't even make up the excuse that I needed it for brain power ;___;

      Happy Mother's Day to ME!!

..And my mama. But mostly me since she's a veteran :p Also, HAPPY 6 MONTHS TO THE BEHBZ! ^__^

      Here's my day in pictures:

The parentals have this thing about opening gifts before the actual day and I guess they passed it onto Tohchan, so he gave me this last Wednesday! ^___^ So proud to wear it now!!

Dad treated the fam bam to Paesano for lunch and I tried osso bucco for the first time! Yummy yummy bone marrow :9

Went shopping for a little while and bought these since I've been looking for some gold studs. This weekend definitely wasn't the best, so this was a good pick me up! ..Especially right before finals @__@

My cutie behbeh ~ all spiffy :3

My aunty came over to drop off the best bread pudding ever and left me a cute note ^__^ Thanks to everyone else who wished me a Happy Mother's Day too! I wasn't expecting it at all, but random texts throughout the day sure made me feel extra special! <3

      Random rant: Terrible day

I was rudely awakened at 4 AM and had a feeling that this was just the start of bad things to come. I ended up going back to sleep, but woke up 10 minutes late which somehow led to me leaving the house 30 minutes after I had planned. I got stuck in traffic in the pouring rain, clocked in unbelievably late, and spent the rest of the day at work. When I arrived home after driving through another downpour, I realized that I had scraped my elbow somehow and was bleeding all over the place.

..But seriously, the thing that bothered me the most about today (well, technically this whole week) was being disrespected. Funny how guys seem to think that being a jerk is somewhat attractive. It might've worked in elementary school, but that was how many years ago and I don't like boys anymore. Playing games will intrigue me, not keep me. I like men who are kind and empathetic. The ones who apologize after doing something wrong and try to fix their mistakes rather than revert back to treating me like a second class citizen. I like the kind of guy who shows me that he cares and expresses his feelings, not the ones who expect me to infer how they feel. And above all else, reciprocates. Drop the front and I'll drop mines. Give me respect and I'll respect you. Treat me like a princess and I'll try my very best to make you feel like the luckiest guy in the universe.

On a happier note though, I solved my lash/lens problems and had lunch with my bestie! Not to mention, had a pretty darn good hair day ^__^

      Happy Boy's Day!! ^__^

I remember hating Boy's Day in elementary school since it meant that all of the girls had to do be extra nice to them. But now, I couldn't be happier to have a reason to celebrate! The grandparentals bought him a gogatsu ningyo that has a fan symbolizing success and a helmet for honor and I also bought him a miniature koi-nobori!

I'm so proud of my growing baby ^__^ He never fails to put a smile on my face and reminds me of how blessed I am. It's crazy to think that he was only the size of a lima bean just a year ago <3

Circle lens & lash experience @__@

Ordered my first pair of EOS Max Gold Black circle lens & pack of Diamond Lash Glamorous Eye on April 20th (PAY DAY!!) and paid a little more for expedited shipping (arrived April 25th)! I'm calling this post an experience rather than a review solely because I've never worn contact lens before and had no idea what to expect being the newb that I am.

It took me a good 15 minutes to figure out how to open the bottle (battle scars included)/somehow extract the lens and another 45 minutes to place them in my eye. This is quite embarrassing, but I went on Youtube to watch tutorials and even then, I had the hardest time..I almost gave up thinking that my eyeballs were just too darn small, but I figured out that I need to use multiple fingers to finally get the lens to stick -___-

I couldn't believe how long they were when I first opened the package since they didn't look as extreme in the pictures on the internet. I also noticed that the "spine" is twice as thick as any Ardell Lash..and twice as uncomfortable. These bad boys are HEAVY and I was worried that my lash adhesive was too weak to hold them in place @__@ I'm still kind of paranoid that they'll blow off in the wind someday..

I also took heed of how dry my eyes could possibly get so I bought Rohto Arctic from Don Quijote. I had a slightly red eye one morning, so I figured I've give it a go and it burned my eye like icy hell. What made things worse was that my fan was blowing right at my face ;___; ..Good news is that the redness subsided shortly after.

I wore them for the first time at a work event and I couldn't figure out what bothered me more -- the lens or lash? Maybe a few more drops of liquid mint and a slight trim of the spine will solve my problems? Definitely going to try again though since I kind of like the doll-eyed effect! ^__^
